SKIPTON'S Christmas lights switch on event will be held on Thursday, November 23.
Otley Street will be closed off for the event, which starts at 3.30pm, and one of the main attractions, characters from Paw Patrol, will be entertaining children in both Craven Court and Otley Street.
There will be also be balloons and face painting for the children, and entertainment will be provided by Save the Children the Threshfield Primary School choir.
The Santa's Grotto will be open in Craven Court from 3.30pm.
The light switch on, to be presented by Stray FM, will take place at 6pm in Craven Court.
To coincide with that Skipton Town Hall will also switch on its Christmas tree lights at 6pm.
Skipton Brass Band will be playing near the town hall from 5.30pm.
