STAFF at a recruitment company for teachers based in Skipton has given the BBC's Children in Need appeal a boost - by swapping their unwanted clothes.
The 'justteachers' employees raised more than £700 at their 'Frock Frolicking Fabulous' event, at which they took clothes, bags, accessories and shoes into the Skipton head office, which were then passed on throughout the day, with 'swap' tickets on sale for £5 each.
The total was also boosted by a raffle for a mystery prize donated by the firm's managing director David Jones.
He said: "This is the tenth year in a row we have raised money for Children in Need. "We all love to get involved and have fun across the company for such a fantastic cause.
"Previous fundraising activities include legs being waxed, 'onesie' days, cake sales and a bake-off. This year we are delighted to be doing something unique and putting old unwanted clothes to good use.”
