CHILDREN at Bradleys Both Community Primary School have been busy learning that it's no secret Christmas is more about giving than receiving.

For they all visited the school's special 'Christmas Present Secrets Room' to experience 'buying' gifts for their parents.

As part of the experience the children made their choices, gift wrapped them and wrote special gift labels. Parents and staff worked together to help the children with their wrapping and every child was able to choose a gift to take home.

The Secrets Room was organised by the school's Friends Parent Forum, who created a present grotto for every child to visit, and collected donations of gifts over the previous weeks.

Headteacher Barry Rogers said: "The whole experience was aimed at teaching the children about giving as well as receiving at Christmas time.

"The children learned about making choices, thinking of others, spending money and having fun together wrapping their presents.

“The Friends Parent Forum at Bradleys Both are a great support to our school and have had a busy week with the Secrets Room and running their Christmas Fair for the school community - which raised an amazing £908."
