THE CHOIR from Kildwick CE Primary School spread festive cheer during the last week of term.

Children from the choir performed seasonal songs at Airedale Hospital, Ashfield Mount and the Co-op store in Cross Hills.

The Kildwick school has been chosen by the store as one of its local community fund projects for the next year.

The school will use the funds to upgrade its playground facilities.

When a member buys Co-op branded products from food stores or a funeral plan or funeral from Funeralcare they earn a five per cent reward for themselves, with a further one per cent going to a nearby good cause of their choice.

Co-op stores in other parts of the Keighley area recently announced which local organisations had benefited from the last round of the community fund scheme.

The Co-op recently announced that the last round of community fund payouts had totalled £62,000 for the district.

Beneficiaries children by other Co-op stores in the Keighley area included Haworth Riding for the Disabled and 1st Silsden Scout Group.
