Crowdfunders have raised more than £11,000 in just three days for the family of stabbed Skipton Aldi worker Jodie Willsher.

Her friend Katie Seward set up a Justgiving page at justgiving.com/crowdfunding/jodiewillsher with a £1,000 goal to help the mum-of-one’s husband and young daughter Megan, but the target was smashed soon after.

By Boxing Day, 652 people had made donations totalling £11,401 in memory of the 30-year-old who died from multiple serious injuries on Thursday, December 21 at the supermarket store on Keighley Road where she worked.

Neville Hord, 44, of Great Horton Road, Bradford, has been charged with murder and was remanded in custody at York Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

He will appear again at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday, December 28.
