MORE volunteer co-ordinators needed to help older people in Craven.

Royal Voluntary Service volunteers help older people stay active, independent and able to contribute to society.

The service is calling on local people to dedicate just a couple of hours a week to help older people in the community.

Royal Voluntary Service is looking for someone (either on their own or with a friend )to take on a club or activity group and ensure it runs smoothly.

Relevant training for the role will be given and a dedicated support team will provide information and support about setting up a club or activity group, support will be provided to all volunteers.

Clubs provide those who use it with a chance to leave the house and meet friends and meet new people, and enjoy activities, which can go a long way to reducing the isolation and loneliness that can set in when getting out and about is difficult.
