A LOTHERSDALE woman who has been around the world is returning to her home village to perform on the re-opening night of the Lakeside Bar at Raygill Lakes.

Marti Clement was born and raised in Lothersdale, was a multi-festival winning schoolgirl who after attending The Holy Family Catholic School in Keighley left to attend the prestigious Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.

On gaining her awards from Paul McCartney himself, she set sail around the world with P&O Cruises for the last ten years and performed solo and with a band up and down the UK.

Amanda Clement said Marti is coming back to the family home at Raygill and will be singing at the Lakeside Bar's re-opening on Saturday, March 3. The evening begins at 7pm.
