A MAN from Wigglesworth has been sent to crown court charged with perverting the course of justice.
Sam Horsfall, 29, is charged with carrying out an act at West Marton on October 21 last year - namely reporting the theft of a vehicle -with intent to pervert the course of public justice.
He is also charged with driving a Landrover Defender on the A59 at West Marton without due care and attention.
Horsfall also faces charges of failing to stop and to failing to report an accident which involved injury to five people and to another vehicle.
Horsfall, of Becks Brow to Beecroft Lane, appeared at Skipton Magistrates' Court on Friday when he was sent to Bradford Crown Court on the perverting the course of justice charge,which can only be heard at crown court. He will appear at crown court on May 11 for an initial hearing.
