YOUNG children in Hellifield are looking forward to even more fun following the completion of a new play area.
The village's Station Road playground now has four new items of equipment in a 'toddler zone', after work carried out by Hellifield Parish Council.
The pieces of equipment were selected by parents of under-fives in the village to allow a variety of activities.
A major part of the money for the £13,000 project came from the National Lottery 'Awards 4 All' scheme, plus cash from North Yorkshire County Council and Craven District Council.
Cash also came from a donation by Hellifield Beer Festival, from a Christmas Fair run by parents, while support for last year's initial phase came from Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust and Hellifield Youth and Community.
The completion of the project means that both of Hellifield's playgrounds have specific toddler zones alongside facilities for older children.
