A FORMER travel agent and bank worker has started up her own business in the Skipton area which aims to deliver premium pet foods to cat and dog owners on their doorsteps.
Sarah Britcliffe, 39, decided to start up a Heights Farm Premium Pet Foods franchise after being made redundant. It is part of an expansion of operations by the Bolton-based family-run firm, and Sarah’s ‘door-to door’ round will cover south Craven and parts of West Yorkshire.
Sarah said that running her own business would give her more control over her life, as well as fulfilling a lifelong passion to work with animals: “Working with dogs and cats is a dream come true. I hope to gain a great client base with lots of pets. I am a supporter of Guide Dogs for the Blind and also sponsor a kennel at my local RSPCA branch.”
Sarah will have sample packs to allow pet owners to “try before they buy.”
