YORKSHIRE Water’s Water Cycle Challenge returns on Saturday, July 14, for the fourth time.
Centred at Grimwith Reservoir, near Grassington, the event will raise money for the charity Water Aid, and will include three different routes. The longest, a 111 miler taking in gruelling terrain will include climbs featured on the Tour de Yorkshire and Tour de France Grand Depart including Park Rash and Buttertubs.
There will also be shorter routes of 80 and 40 miles also available.
Stephen Nutter, lead organiser from Yorkshire Water, said it was always a fantastically attended event by all levels of cyclist. The opportunity for a challenging ride and take in some of the best scenery in the country is not to be missed.”
Christine Mellor, from WaterAid, said: “We’re so grateful to Yorkshire Water for their ongoing support for WaterAid life-saving work in Ethiopia, where four in ten people don’t have clean water close to home and nine in ten don’t have a decent toilet. Improving access to these basic human rights really can transform lives.”
Cost of entry is £30 per rider. To find out more, visit the website: watercyclechallenge.com/
