A WALKER who slipped on a footpath between Catrigg and Stainforth, injuring his ankle, and an 11-year-old boy who hit his head on rocks at Thorton Force, were both rescued almost within the hour by the Cave Rescue Organisation on Saturday.
The man was treated for a possible fracture by Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics before being stretchered to a CRO vehicle to be taken to the road.
An hour later the CRO was called to Thornton Force, near Ingleton, where a boy had slipped while entering the pool and hit his head on a submerged rock.
He was treated by CRO members, a community responder and an air ambulance paramedic before being taken to hospital for a check up.
