YOUNG footballers from schools in Craven have been making it their goal to help children better understand Alzheimer's.
Four teams took part in a 'dementia awareness' soccer tournament at Skipton's Sandylands Sports Centre.
Skipton Academy and South Craven School entered a boys' and girls' team, while there were sides representing Skipton Girls' High School and Upper Wharfedale School.
The Skipton Academy boys and South Craven girls team emerged triumphant from the tournament, which was organised by Stuart Cracknell, of Skipton, to raise cash for the Alzheimer's Association.
The trophies for the winners were presented by Mike Halliwell, while awards were also made to the top players of the event, Hammad Hussain of Skipton Academy and Chloe Hodge of South Craven, both in year 7.
Organisers also thanked Mewies solicitors, Skipton Baptist Church and Catholic Care, Keighley, who sponsored the trophies and medals, and Tesco and Morrisons supermarkets in Skipton, which donated items for the tournament tuck shop.
