SKIPTON Building Society Camerata welcomes back German violinist Sebastian Mueller to lead the orchestra in a performance of Beethoven’s 7th symphony at Skipton Town Hall on Friday (July 20).
Sebastian performed the solo in the Beethoven violin concerto with the orchestra last year and, following performances throughout Europe and with the London Symphony Orchestra, returns to bring his Beethoven expertise to this performance of one of Beethoven’s late, great works.
The Camerata’s Artistic Director Ben Crick, who will conduct the performance, said: ‘It is so important to our work that we bring the best musicians we can find to perform in our home town. Sebastian has played with some of Europe’s best ensembles and it’s a constant pleasure to work with him.”
The concert will start at 7.30pm with Haydn’s ‘Military’ symphony, after which the orchestra will be joined by actors Tom Wright and James Knight for a multi media exploration of Beethoven’s world as he composed the 7th symphony. The interval will then be followed by a full performance of the 7th symphony. More information and tickets are available at: Skiptoncamerata.com.
