CRAVEN Leisure in Skipton is hosting a morning of sporting fun to kick off the school summer holidays, with a range of free taster activities on offer.

It is due to take place on Tuesday, from 10am to 12 midday, and will include golf, football target practice, basketball and multi-sport taster sessions.

There will also be a free bouncy castle, a children’s mini obstacle course, face-painting and craft-making, and the skate park, pump track and zip wire will be open as usual.

Barbecue food will be available to buy on the day and the Revive café will also be open for refreshments, with some free tastings available.

Lloyd Hancox, Leisure Services Manager at Craven District Council, said: “We ran this event for the first time last year and it was very successful. This is a great chance for children and families to come along to Craven Leisure and Aireville Park and try out some of the activities on offer. Families are advised to walk to the event if possible as parking at Craven Leisure is limited.
