WALKERS are being invited to take part in a fundraising ten mile pub walk during the August bank holiday weekend setting off from Threshfield.

In aid of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, the route will take a route from Threshfield, Linton and Burnsall, stopping off at The Old Hall, Threshfield; the Fountaine, Linton, and finally, The Red Lion at Burnsall. On the way back, walkers will cross the River Wharfe to the Clarendon at Hebden, and along the riverside to finish at any - or all - of the pubs in Grassington.

Molly Ralphson, Community Fundraiser at Manorlands Hospice said “This event has the potential to be a wonderful day out in the Dales for groups of friends, families and couples. We love the idea of a sponsored walk in such a beautiful place and the pubs along the way are gorgeous country inns serving as waymarks and rest stops for walkers.” The pub walk, which will take place on Saturday, August 25, will cost £12 for adults, and £8 for children to enter, including a teeshirt. People need to enter beforehand at: sueryder.org/pubwalk, and can start from anytime between 11.30 am and 12.30pm.
