THE fifth annual scarecrow festival organised by the White Lion pub, in Kildwick, in aid of the Yorkshire air Ambulance charity is taking place this weekend.
Between 25 and 30 scarecrows made by residents and businesses will be placed around the village for visitors to see.
Free competition entry forms for visitors to use can be collected from the White Lion from 11am on Friday with prizes offered for those who get the most correct.
There are also prizes for the entrants.
On Friday evening there will be a quiz in the White Lion from 7pm followed by live music on Saturday evening.
A barbecue and family funday with bouncy castle is being held on Sunday from 2pm.
Proceeds from the funday, along with donations and sponsorship from local businesses will go to the air ambulance.
So far almost £3,500 has been raised over the past five years.
