ORGANISERS of Gargrave Show are hoping for a fine, dry day for the 114th annual event, due to take place on Saturday, August 18.

Traditionally, the first agricultural and horticultural show of the season in Craven, the event promises to have something to entertain all the family.

In addition to classes in sheep, cattle and horses, there will also be a handicraft and horticultural marquee, showing off the best in handcrafted and homegrown items.

There will also be the fell races, a fun dog show and a grand parade of winners and vintage farm vehicles and cars in the main arena. The show will conclude with the terrier races.

Held in front of Eshton Hall, off the A65, admission will be £8 for adults, £5 for seniors, £5 for 12 to 18 year olds, and free for under 11s.
