AN AUDIENCE With Sir Ranulph Fiennes is one of the highlights of the autumn season at Colne Municipal Hall.

The ‘world’s greatest living’ explorer will on September 20 relate incredible stories said to leave the audience dumbfounded.

A spokesman said: “From his self-deprecating tales of academic failure, through his time in the Forces, to discovering lost Middle Eastern cities, and his many and varied expeditions, it’s amazing how much one man has crammed into his life.

“The evening includes big screen video footage and a question and answer session - and promises you will be captivated by the stories and left open-mouthed at the challenges faced and conquered by Sir Ran.”

Meanwhile, soul legends The Drifters return to The Muni on September 7 with a new tour featuring classic hits from the last six decades.

The group has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, been listed among the greatest artistes of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, and produced hits including ‘Saturday Night At The Movies’, ‘Come On Over To My Place’, ‘Up On The Roof’, ‘Under The Boardwalk’, and ‘Kissin’ In The Back Row’.

And the Simon and Garfunkel Story will be at The Muni on September 14 following a successful run in the West End.

Using huge projection photos and original film footage, this 50th anniversary celebration performance features a live band performing all the hits.
