FINE weather and a wide variety of exhibits in all classes helped to encourage an excellent turnout for Giggleswick Horticultural Society's 77th Annual Open Show.

Organisers praise the extremely high standard of entries at the show, which was held at the Giggleswick Junior School Pavilion and opened by the society's president Katie Oliver.

Results are as follows:

Fruit and Vegetables: Wright Cup and 10 points 1-24 Bill Proctor; Major Batty Trophy and $5 best in 1 and 2 Bill Proctor; Lay of the Land Voucher best in 18 Geoff Knights; Saffrey Cup best in class 13 John Reid; Best in classes 25-29 Bill Proctor.
