CRAVEN Arts, who recently opened a studio on Otley Street, will launch Skipton’s first ever art trail on Saturday and Sunday.
Seventeen artists will be featured with artwork including paintings, drawings, textiles, sculptures, wood carvings and ceramics.
People are invited to call in to Mill Bridge Gallery to pick up a map and view a piece of work by each featured artist before exploring the town and seeing some professional art along the way.
Venues include Christ Church on Keighley Road and the Craven Arts studio on Otley Street.
All artists will be on site to meet visitors on both days and some will be demonstrating work in person. Attendance is free at all venues, and almost all of the artwork will be available for sale.
Craven Arts member and artist Louise Fletcher said: "There are some fantastic artists in Skipton and the surrounding areas, and we’re delighted to be able to introduce people to some of them over the Bank Holiday weekend.
"Many other local towns have similar events and now it’s our turn," she said. "We hope this art trail is the first of many and that it will grow and grow."
The trail runs from 11am to 4pm on both days.
