FINANCIAL and wealth management advisors The Pentelow Practice is both sponsoring and taking part in this weekend’s inaugural Broughton Hall Children’s Literature Festival, near Skipton.

The principal partner practice of St James Place Wealth Management is not only sponsoring the festival, but will also be launching its own writing competition, Pentelow Penners.

Some 65 authors and childhood literacy champions, including broadcaster, journalist and writer, Clare Balding and Olympian track cyclist, Sir Chris Hoy, will be at the event, which is aimed at helping 2, 000 schoolchildren across North Yorkshire discover books, reading and writing.

Emma Pentelow, partner at the Pentelow Practice, which has its rural offices at Broughton Hall, said:“We have provided a significant amount in both sponsorship funding and time to the organisers of the festival because we believe literacy is just as important as a great grasp of numbers when it comes to financial planning and general life-skills.”

Following the success of the firm’s Little Authors writing competition for the children of its private and corporate clients, the firm will launch Pentelow Penners at the event, for all primary school aged children in the Craven and Leeds areas.

Emma, who has two school aged children of her own, added: “We take a creative and measured approach to managing the assets of our clients, and we want to encourage that same creativity in the next generation of clients. It isn’t just a commitment to festival sponsorship, we are investing in bright Yorkshire futures.”

The Pentelow Practice provides financial planning and wealth management services for private individuals as well as corporate financing planning and investment advice for business clients and is a founder member of St James Place Wealth Management Group in Leeds.
