A LORRY driver caught speeding on the A65 at Newby was fined £60 and his licence endorsed by Skipton magistrates.
David Woodham, 43, told the court he had been unable to produce his licence to the officer because it was at the DVLA having points put on it for another speeding offence.
Woodham, of Eelholme View Street, Keighley, was driving a Volvo lorry at 8.10pm on June 11 when he was recorded by an officer doing 58mph. The legal limit for a vehicle of the class was 40mph.
Woodham, who pleaded guilty to speeding, was fined and his licence endorsed with three penalty points. He was also ordered to pay £45 costs and a £15 victims surcharge.
