Six Settle College pupils will be bringing some Christmas cheer to a local hospice.
Charlotte Lambert, Gemma Tennant, Emily Redhead, Sami Beresford, Rosie Wane and Ashleigh Wood are planning to sing carols to raise money for St John's Hospice, in Lancaster.
The 15-year-olds came up with the fundraising scheme after the hospice helped Emily's grandfather after his wife died and cared for the grandmother of a close friend.
Charlotte said: "What we are planning to do is go carol singing around the village of Ingleton, where many of us live. We aren't just singing carols, we are dressing up in seasonal fancy dress - as Santas and elves. With all the sponsorship that we collect and any donations we get, we are hoping to raise £250 for St John's Hospice. It is a place close to our hearts."
The girls aim to do their carol singing next week and have funded outfits from their own pockets.
