BNP fields election candidate

The British National Party has returned to the political fray in West Craven.
Last year was the first time in recent years that there was no BNP candidate contesting a West Craven seat in the Pendle Borough Council elections.
However, this year, BNP member Geoffrey Loxton Whitehead is back on the scene and is standing in Pendle Council's Craven ward.
He faces a challenge from Sandra Lee Bunn for the Conservatives, Shelley Janine Franklin for the Liberal Democrats and Labour candidate Robert Andrew Oliver.
Elsewhere, Liberal Democrat Marjorie Adams, Conservative Keith Bailey and Labour's William James Skinner are standing in the Coates ward.
And contesting the Earby seat are David Kenneth Foat (Labour), Valerie Norma Langtree (Conservatives) and Jacqueline Michelle Taylforth (Liberal Democrats).
