Sunday bus links between Skipton and Malham will be restored for the summer season from this weekend.

DalesBus service 814 will run every Sunday and Bank Holiday from July 6 until September 14 and will call at Gargrave, Airton and Kirkby Malham.

There are also plans to provide a monthly service throughout the winter months.

Buses will leave Skipton Bus Station at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm, returning from Malham at 11.45am, 2.45pm and 4.45pm, and from Gargrave at 12.08pm, 3.08pm and 5.08pm.

Connections are available at Skipton Bus Station with service 66A to and from Keighley and Grassington.

The new national concessionary passes for OAPs are valid for free travel on this service.

The Yorkshire Dales Public Transport Users Group has welcomed the return of the service.

Full timetables are available from local information centres and online at dalesbus.org.

DalesBus 814 is operated by Jackson's of Silsden, under contract to the Dales and Bowland Community Interest Company with funding from the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.
