Castleberg Community Hospital’s Harden Ward is expected to reopen in less than three months.

Health bosses say work has started on the refurbishment of the Giggleswick hospital and contractors West Yorkshire Maintenance Ltd are currently working on the roof and replacing windows.

They say the work should be completed by the end of January.

Harden Ward was closed in April this year and the patients who would normally fill the 10 convalescent and rehabilitation beds are currently being looked after in their homes by district nurses through a community-based service.
