North Craven Children’s Centre in Hellifield will be holding a “Meet your local services” event on Thursday, November 27.

The event, from 2pm to 7pm, is open to all but has a particular focus on services for families of children under five.

Among those attending will be North Yorkshire Police, Craven District Council, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Adult Learning, Speech and Language, Child Minding Support, Craven Domestic Violence and Craven Housing.

Visitors will be able to find out about services offered through the North Craven Children’s Centre itself and Craven Childcare Ltd, the private childcare provider.

Centre manager Caroline Porter said: “Parents often tell us they don’t know where to go to get the right information, especially if they have a particular worry or concern about their child or regarding a practical issue such as housing or benefits.

“By us bringing all the services together families can quickly and easily talk to a wide range of professionals.”

For more information call North Craven Children’s Centre on 0845 034 9408.
