Three members of Settle Amateur Operatic Society have been honoured for their long service.
The trio have collectively notched up 135 years with the society which reaches its 130-year milestone in 2009.
Freda Hargreaves, former playing member and current president and musical director, received her 60-year diamond bar while Mavis Garnett, former playing member and current social and management committee member was presented with her 50-year gold bar.
And Jonathan Wooff, a playing member since 1982, received his 25-year silver medal. Chris Ingram,from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association’s North East area, presented the recipients with their awards during the week-long sell-out run of the society’s production of Oliver! at the town’s Victoria Hall.
