The Skipton East Lancashire Rail Action Partnership (SELRAP) is sending a delegation to London on Tuesday to meet with transport bosses from the three major political parties.
SELRAP representative Ruth Ratcliffe, who lives in Barnoldswick, said four members of the campaign group would meet with MPs to discuss progress on the reinstatement of the railway line between Skipton and Colne.
The meeting will be with Labour MP Chris Mole, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Transport, Conservative MP Stephen Hammond and Liberal Democrat MP Norman Baker, both of whom oversee transport matters for their respective parties.
Mrs Ratcliffe said: “Reinstatement of the line will see economic and social benefits, not only for the Craven area, but for the whole region.”
She said National Express had given the SELRAP delegation support by helping to fund the cost of the tickets.
