BBC weatherman Paul Hudson can confidently predict a bright forecast for the Yorkshire Dales.
Paul, in his role as ambassador for the Clapham-based Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT), has welcomed news that the charity has benefited from a donation of £14,086 from the People’s Postcode Lottery fund.
It brings the fund’s total donations to the trust in the past six months to more than £37,000.
Paul said: “I’m delighted to be an ambassador for the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust and proud to support the work they do to maintain this special area for the enjoyment of all.
"The partnership with the People’s Postcode Lottery will help YDMT to continue the good work, enabling local people to achieve practical projects which will enhance the Dales for future generations.”
As England’s own charity lottery, the People’s Postcode Lottery gives 40p from every ticket to chosen English charities. So far those charities have received a £1.9 million in funding.
