THERE are still places left for singers tenors and basses in particular for a Come and Sing' Last Night of the Proms in Lancaster.

The massive event on Saturday, May 15, at 7.30pm in the Ashton Hall will feature choral set pieces including Faure's Requiem and Parry's I Was Glad.

The musical director will be Peter Litman of Canterbury, leading afternoon rehearsals and conducting the performance as part of a Last Night Of the Proms style concert.

Others taking part are soloists Wendy Sharrock and Jolyon Dodgson, organist Geoff Cassidy and Poulton-le-Fylde Brass Band.

Audience tickets are now on sale at Lancaster and Morecambe tourist information offices, with all proceeds going to the Ashton Hall organ restoration fund.
