LANCASTER jazz vocalist Sue Parish is to be the guest of Kendal Jazz Club - appearing in the Malt Room at the Brewery Arts Centre next Thursday, May 6.

This is a rare chance to hear Sue sing in a concert setting with a full four piece band.

She will share the stage with leading sax and flute player Harold Salisbury, whose intelligent, heartfelt approach has illuminated every type of jazz, lyrical guitarist Jon Moore, bass player Gary Culshaw and drummer Ian Bell.

She will be showcasing a variety of material from the classic era of jazz and swing in a set that will include many new additions to her repertoire.

Sue says: "I'm really looking forward to this gig. It's a joy to work with Harold, whose playing I admire greatly, and with such a gifted rhythm section. The atmosphere at Kendal Jazz Club gigs is always really special, and I'm proud to be part of the programme."

Tickets are £6.50 for non-members, £5 members and £3 students. Doors open at 8 pm for an 8.30 pm start.
