A COMEDY from the writer of the smash hit film Billy Elliot is coming to village halls near Lancaster.
The city's Freerange Theatre Company is to stage Spoonface Stein-berg by Lee Hall for two nights only.
The heart-rending piece takes a wry look at the world from the point of view of Spoonface, a seven-year-old autistic child whose views of life and death are at once simple, complex and unforgettable.
The award winning play, written originally for Radio 4, has been staged only at the Crucible, Sheffield, and in the New Ambassadors in London. This is the first time it has been toured.
It will be staged next Friday, May 7, in Glasson Dock Village Hall at 7.30pm (call 01524-752015 for tickets) and on Sunday, May 9 at 8pm in Arkholme Village Hall (015242-22236).
