Airedale Hockey Club runs thriving Under-12 and Under-10 sides, and each month these teams compete in a Yorkshire-wide championship, across four divisions.
Having spent the last two seasons working their way up to the first division, the Under-10s A team, they also run a B team, went to this month’s championship - last Sunday - with high hopes of doing well in that top division.
As it happens, the first team was made up entirely of boys from Bradley in captain Matthew Ramshaw, Alexander Blake, Harry Conn, Robbie Campbell, Connor Harrison and Edward Washington.
This team won every one of their five games and did not concede a single goal. And that means these six Bradley boys are - until January 24 (the date of the next tournament) at least - the best Under-10s hockey team in Yorkshire.
Training at Airedale Hockey Club takes place every Thursday from 6-7 pm, at Oakbank School, Keighley. Contact Phil Ramshaw on 01756 793786 for more details.
