Appetites are being honed in preparation for Settle Rotary Club’s annual Merry-Go-Round fundraiser which will raise money for Manorlands hospice and the Children’s Society Craven Area Project.

The event takes place on Friday February 19 starting from Giggleswick School dining hall at 7pm. Diners will then enjoy three courses at different pubs at a cost of £17. A total of £5 from each ticket will go to charity.

The venues helping out with the fun event are the Craven Arms, Falcon Manor, Gamecock, Golden Lion, Harts Head, Maypole Inn, Plough Inn and Ravenous. Tickets are available from any Rotarian or by ringing 01729 825285.

At the Merry-go-Round there will be a chance to find out more about “Thanks For Life Day” on February 23 when Rotary is holding a national day to raise awareness and money for the fight to eliminate polio worldwide.
