Four Upper Wharfedale eating establishments have been shortlisted in this year’s Northern Hospitality Awards.
A record number of entries have been received from across the North West, Yorkshire and the North East.
Those in Craven with a chance of an award at the Hilton, Manchester, on April 12 are: The Grassington House Hotel, Grassington – best restaurant; The Devonshire Arms, Bolton Abbey – best wine offering; Simon Farrimond, The Angel Inn, Hetton – best general manager and Steve Smith, The Burlington Restaurant, at The Devonshire Arms – best chef.
Thom Hetherington, managing director of organisers Moorfield Media, said: “The calibre of entries has been exceptionally high with a number of Michelin starred establishments taking part.”
