A North Craven village which lost its post office in December will get a new, part-time one just 50 metres away in the local pub.
The last stamp was sold at Wigglesworth Post Office when owners Chris and Ann Thorpe retired just after Christmas.
Now, following a period of public consultation, Post Office bosses have approved a proposal to provide an outreach service at the Plough Inn.
The service will be run by Settle sub-postmaster Graham Scruton, on a part-time basis.
No date has been given for the opening, but hours have been confirmed as Mondays from 10.30am to 12.30pm and Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm.
The same range of post office products and services will be offered as before.
The Post Office’s field change adviser, Liz Morgan, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience the temporary closure has undoubtedly caused, but I’m sure our customers will be delighted that it will soon be business as usual at their local post office.”

"WELL EARNED RETIREMENT"
Welcome to the group of those whoretired earlier. I am glad that the post office is moving to the Plough too.
We will call when we are passing.
