Ingleton residents are being asked to design a new mosaic for the village’s millennium gardens.
It will replace a mosaic created 11 years ago to commemorate the new millennium. It was designed by a pupil at Ingleton Middle School.
“The mosaic has suffered from weather and other damage, and it is time to renew it with a new theme,” said villager Andy Ive.
“The new design should reflect the area as well as this point in history, such as local landmarks and events (such as the jubilee and Olympics for example).
“The last mosaic was split into four pictures which seemed to work well.”
Designs should be delivered to Neptis Cafe by the end of February and the winner will get a small gift of appreciation. The mosaic will be made in the spring.
