Injured biker loses fight for life

A 64-year-old motorcyclist, seriously injured in an accident the B6479 at Stainforth, has died in Leeds General Infirmary.
Nick Robinson, from Ingleby Barwick, was badly hurt when his yellow Triumph Tiger motorcycle was in collision with a black Toyota Rav4 on Saturday, August 11.
He had been riding with 10 members of the Cleveland Advanced Motorcyclist Group and was travelling north from Settle towards Ribblehead when the collision occurred at the junction with Husband’s Barn at about 4.20pm. The Toyota was travelling in the opposite direction.
Mr Robinson lost his fight for life on Thursday.
Now officers have renewed their appeal for witnesses and would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or noticed the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the incident.
Anyone who can help should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 - select option 2 - and ask for Traffic Sergeant Pete Stringer or Skipton Road Policing Group.
