Police hunt stolen car

Police with air support spent two hours searching for a stolen car allegedly being driven through Craven on Monday.

The force’s automatic number plate recognition system was triggered at 5.30pm on the A629 Aire Valley Road close to Cross Hills .

The car was eventually stopped by police, with support from Cumbria and Lancashire forces, north of Kirkby Lonsdale at 7.30pm.

The car was allegedly stolen from Huddersfield. A man is helping police with their inquiries.
