Possible petrol theft at Cross Hills probed
9:00am Friday 14th September 2012 in News
Police are investigating the possible theft of petrol from Snax 24, on Station Road, Cross Hills , at 11pm on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said the driver filled up and went into the shop, but paid for fuel from a different pump, which was £40 less than what was owed.
The spokesman added it could have been an error, rather than theft, and officers were trawling through CCTV footage in a bid to find an answer.
And police are also looking at CCTV footage after a vehicle drove off without paying for £58 of petrol at Tesco’s petrol station in Skipton earlier in the evening.
