Council backing for Ingleton homes plan

Ingleton Parish Council has given its backing to plans to build five houses and two apartments on a prominent site in the village.

Russell Armer Ltd wants to build four two-bedroom houses, one three-bedroom house and two two-bedroom apartments on land between Laundry Lane and New Road.

A plan for seven homes was rejected last year.

Now the developer has come back with revised plans, which have won support from parish councillors.

They said they were pleased that the site was finally being developed, but urged that care be taken over the materials used as the land was at the entrance to the village and had a high visual impact.

The application will be determined by Craven District Council.
