Man due in court charged with Skipton robbery

A 46-year-old man is due in court this morning charged with a number of offences which were committed in Skipton yesterday.
The man from Fareham, Hampshire, will appear at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court to answer charges of theft, robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was arrested in Skipton town centre at around 3.50pm yesterday after an alleged knifepoint robbery at Pro Sport on Swadford Street.
The theft charge relates to three jackets taken from a market stall in the town.
