Thieves steal scrap from garage

Thieves have stolen a quantity of scrap from an unlocked garage in Horton-in-Ribblesdale. The haul, worth £200, included a large quantity of plastic-coated copper cable, a bag of aluminium scrap and a bag of brass scrap. The theft occurred overnight last Monday, September 24. Investigating officer PC Barbara Parsons would like to hear from anyone who, in recent days, has sold scrap, had people round touting for trade or has seen a strange vehicle in the area.
