Players set to shine in production

Austwick Community Players will be showcasing their dramatic talents at a Shine a Light fundraising evening.
“You will see the Players as never before,” said group chairman George Gooch. “As well as whimsical and funny, we will perform words and songs that show our other sides – romantic, reflective, angry and very moving.”
The Players will read a number of children’s bedtime stories and the audience will be asked to vote for their favourite.They will also perform a short sequel to their March production, Under Starters Orders.
The event will be staged next Saturday, October 13, in the parish hall and will raise money to buy stage lighting. A donation will also be made to the Austwick Church Roof Appeal.
Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £8 from Crossleigh Stores.
