Extension verdict appeal is rejected

A decision to refuse a single- storey extension to a terrace house in Main Street, Cononley, has been upheld by the Planning Inspectorate. In April, Craven District Council refused permission for the extension at 3 Main Street because of its impact on the character and appearance of the area. That decision has now been upheld by a government inspector who acknowledged that another extension on the same row had been approved by the council, but that it had been smaller. An application for costs was also rejected by the inspectorate.
