Young Bentham cyclist Fabian Brennan has been awarded a place on the British Cycling Talent Team.
The team is made up of 25 under-16 boys and girls from different disciplines of road and track cycling, mountain biking and BMX. Fabian will benefit from following a training programme under the guidance of a British Cycling coach and will attend monthly training camps with the other members of the team.
The 15-year-old, a pupil at Lancaster Royal Grammar School, cycles for Salt Ayre Cog Set Club and was selected on his results in national road and track competitions and a gruelling selection day at the Manchester Velodrome.
Fabian said “I am very happy to be selected for the Talent Team and can’t wait to start training with them. I think this is a very important step towards reaching my goal to be a professional.”
