SILSDEN'S Emma Park took championship honours at Thursday’s summer show of rearing calves at Gisburn Auction Marts.
Her first prize seven-week-old British Blue bull went on to sell for £430 to KP Drinkall, of Gargrave.
The first prize British Blue heifer calf came from Colin Whitelock, of Gargrave, and went on to win the reserve champion rosette and sell for £428 to JM Fisher, pf Belmont, Bolton.
A total of 210 rearing calves were forward and averages were British Blue bulls £349, heifers £293, Simmental bulls £342, heifers £346.
