SKIPTON couple Gavin and Becky Haworth triumphed at the First Scottish National Show of Jacob Sheep.
A total of 102 sheep competed for title honours, with sponsors Crystalyx, providing a new trophy for championship winner.
The Haworths took the top prize with a home-bred shearling gimmer from their Hurrsdale flock.
The judge, Stephen Harrison of Grange-Over-Sands said the show of sheep was tremendous and the champion was an excellent example of the breed.
Member of the Scottish Parliment, Richard Lochead, with responsibility for agriculture and rural affairs, congratulated Gavin and Becky on their win and presented them with Redpath perpetual trophy.
